05.02.2007 - The end is near.
Dear friends and enemys, lovers and haters. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose it all. Dark Day Dungeon was never destined to win. So once again we're losing. This time our guitarplayer Attila Varga. For the last three weeks we've been talking things over and over and sadly some decisions had to be made. We are all very unhappy with his decisions but have to respect that of course. Attila will leave the band. We're still good friends though! No fights, no bullshit talking, no nothing. All the shows that have been booked will be played normaly, don't worry. And the band will go on! We just don't know how yet. After the final shows with Attila we'll take a break, form the new team, maybe even record all the new songs we've written, release them. If it's gonna be under the name of Dark Day Dungeon remains to be seen. Thanx for reading and we'll keep you posted.

27.12.2006 - Stop complaining, here's the news.
Get used to it, we're lazy.
Anyway we got some news for you all. First of all we'd like to thank everybody who came to the X-Mas Metal Festival here in Zug! It was a blast! Thanx to all the bands that played and to the Kingshot Crew for setting this whole thing up!
As you might heard this was the last show for Manuel playing bass for us. Sad but true but he won't be posing for you and us anymore. So thank you Manu for all the incredible Shows we played with you and the great time we spent with you! All the best for the future!

That leads us straight to the next headline: Our NEW bassplayer!
Let's all welcome Giuseppe! The Italian Bassmonster will be joining us on stage as soon as he gets back from his holidays in Italy! Beware!
We'd also like to thank everybody who applied for the bassjob. It was a really, really hard decision we had to make. So thanx for your patience and we hope you're not too disappointed.

Alright. We added a few new shows, too. But mostly we are working with Giusi on all the old songs now and also writing new stuff. But it'll still take some time to get ready to do another record... We give our best.

Cheers.

10.09.2006 - FREE SHOW and NEW MERCH!
Yeah! Don't forget that free show tomorrow! We'll be playing with our buddies FIVE DAYS RAIN @ Hive Club in Zurich! We'll also have our new merch for sale! So bring money anyway...

09.08.2006 - Same old story: WE NEED BASS!
Yes, here we are again with the same old shit: WE NEED A NEW BASSPLAYER! Just after a few months in the band Manuel will have to leave us at the end of the year. Due to his new job and his mainband Censored he won't be able to continue with Dark Day Dungeon. Sad but true. So once again we're looking for YOU! If you like heavy music and have a bass contact us immediately! We're really getting sick of this whole situation so please tell all your friends, sisters and pets! All you need is some bass experience, equipment and the motivation to spend some quality time with us in the rehearsal room, on the road and of course on stages all around europe. 8 new songs are almost finished and the plan was to have them recorded early next year... with you on bass! Alright, we really hope it'll work out this time. See ya soon, hopefully.

07.08.2006 - z7 rocked! Once again!
The Metal Dayz, 3 days, 2 stages and over 30 bands! And we played there, too! So we would like to thank everybody at z7 for this kickass festival! Especially Andrea and Silversun Productions, Dane and the whole z7 crew! Also to all the dudes who came to our signing session, which we first thought was a joke... but there really are people out there who wanna have our names on their shirts and jackets... kinda strage. Haha! Stay tuned for more news soon.

23.05.2006 - Hey you all!
We’re back from Hungary and had a great time over there! Each time we hit the road in that direction we’ll experience for sure some bad things in Austria. This time those fuckers closed down the tunnels for inspection. This happened to us twice in the same night and we had to wait about 90 minutes in the middle of the night. What ever, at least we got not fucked at the border.
The first show was in a city called Szombathely and it was a great club with a huge sound system. It was great to see our old friends there from “Embers” as well as all the new friends we made. Namely Monyo and Andri were setting the show up and we would like to send them a big “thank you” for everything and a freakin’ egészsegedre to everybody in Embers and our friend Turkish.
Then we had a stop in a very nice city called Szentes. The first thing we recognized there was a very romantic marriage followed by Dark Day Dungeon posters in the whole fucking city… it was funny to see something like that. The show was taking place at a bar and was very hardcore-ish. The mood was great and the bar was fully packed with people. We just fucking loved to be there! Attila from a band called “Quest From Inside” was putting the show up with his girlfriend Anna. Thanx for all you guys and we hope to see you soon.

Alright, so see you in Zurich tomorrow! – The knights of the dungeon.

17.05.2006 - Hungary – get ready!
We are getting our lazy asses ready to hit the road to Hungary this week. We gonna have two shows on Friday and Saturday in Szombathely and Szeged. Dude it’s gonna be a far way… but wha’eva – we’re used to it! And what could be more interesting than sharing a whole day in a stinky van having your best friends farting all the time right next to you… nothing! Don’t worry just making fun – but it’s like that – really.

When we come back we will be supporting our mates in Cataract on their release show in Zurich. So we hope to see a loot of our friends their having a great party with us all.

Last weekend we had a gig in Peyern and we would like to thank Luc for setting this all up. Thanks a lot for the great food and for having us.

Our friends in Fate Is Dying had their release show last weekend and we want to wish them all the best for their future. We know you guys gonna make your way. Keep up the good work.

till Hungary – the band.

16.04.2006 - Just a little update... and some shouts!
We just fixed a bug concerning the MP3 on our page. Everything should now work as it was supposed to. If it's not... try deleting your cache! We would like to send out some shouts to the Swiss Metal Attack crew and especially Andrea for setting up that amazing event at the Z7 in Pratteln yesterday. Also we would like to express our appreciation to the people that took care about the sound, food and everything else there – Thanx everybody! Good night! – The dungeon league!

09.04.2006 - It's on!
Finally, after weeks of hard work our new homepage is online! Thanx to Dave eye4eye for designing the whole thing! We think it fucking ROCKS! We're still working on some stuff, especially hard on a new online shop... so get you money ready!

05.04.2006 - Rock vs Cancer was a success!
Hi there everybody. The Rock vs Cancer tour is over and we had the pleasure to take part on the last two shows of the tour. As Tom said is satisfied how all turned out. This makes us unbelievably happy, that we could support such a great idea. In our name we would like to thank our friends that showed up and supported the tour and all the bands for sharing stages with us.

The Website is up and running! The merch store is currently down and will be so for the next few days. We’re working on it and will be ready with the new store, as soon as our stock is filled again.

rock on kids!

19.03.2006 - Winter sucks…
Whatever, just a few days ago we’ve been rocking out at the Sedel in lovely Lucerne. It was great to have our buddies from Morbus Gravis with us there. These guys rock bad ass and you shouldn’t miss a chance to see them live when they come around! We will be playing at the Swiss metal attack fest in Pratteln, at the As Gravity Fades release show and in Payern in April, make sure to be there! Our new website is in the make now. We’re happy that Dave from Eye 4 Eye web design will take care about that.

14.12.2005 - Ladies and Gents - please welcome our new bass player!
Everybody! Yes it’s true, our search for a new bass player is over. Manuel Frueh from Zurich joined the band. 04.10.2005 - Bass player wanted!
Everybody - as you might have heard - we are looking for a new bass player to complete our team. There were several ups and downs with Piotr and yesterday he decided to quit the band. As we wrote here some time ago, he was sick and wasn't able to practice for a while. After all this, he didn't seem to regain health and now wants to have more time for himself. He will be still with us for the next few shows though. And hopefully until we have found a new teamplayer.

Now, all of you bass players: Contact us at theband @ darkdaydungeon.com and let us know something about you. Everybody is welcome and there is no reason not to write if you're looking for a band. You will be invited to our studio and we show you all you need to know about Dark Day Dungeon's past, present and near future.

17.07.2005 - You gotta read this...
Just a quick note... but you gotta read this! We will be on air on a US radio show called Hard Attack on Sirius Radio and here is what they published on their website:

Hailing from the heart of Europe, the small but tall nation of Switzerland has moved metal mountains over the past 20 years. Check out Alp-inspired mayhem by the quirky masterminds of Celtic Frost, Samael, and Young Gods; the technical thrash of Coroner and Fractal Point; plus the modern day metalcore of Cataract and Dark Day Dungeon. Capping off this ultra-heavy Swiss metal history lesson — a brand new rehearsal track by reformed metal legends Celtic Frost! Only on Bloody Roots with Ian Christe.

This is awesome! Out – the dungeon.

14.07.2005 - How's your summer?
Hope you guys doing fine while enjoying the lakeside or some of the festivals around Europe. We’re right now preparing our selves to a busy fall. Well, at least it looks right know as like we’ll be on the road quite a lot.

One of the most important show updates will be the cd release show in Traintown, which will take place at the 5th of November. We’re pretty excited about it! There will be Bridges To Solace supporting us - and we are heavily happy about having our good friends from Hungary here to celebrate! We want one more local band to show up at our release show, but have no confirmation yet...so we don’t talk about it, right?!

Dark Day Dungeon Windbreakers are in the make know. And hopefully they will be ready and here soon!

Have a nice evening – the band.

20.05.2005 - All done! Well done!
Let us first say: thank you Censored! The show at the Dynamo in Zurich was great. Nik and all the guys from Censored did a great job and made it a great evening for us. Shouts out to GSF for sharing the stage with us!

After we have finished the mastering we have the Artwork finished. It looks great. First of all the Cover Artwork Dave Quiggle made is amazing. Monte layed his hands on the rest of the layout and we completely dig it!

The master is on it’s way to the pressing plant and we should be able to have some copies here in about 8 weeks. We have been asked to play at the Gränichen Openair in Argau and we’re pretty happy about that! As much as we know we gonna play on Saturday the 27. August – make sure to be there!

13.05.2005 - The master rocks! & New shows confirmed...
All right - we just took a listen to the 3rd version of our mastered songs and fuck that sounds incredible! Don’t await any explanations about that now... that would just be too hard to do! It just rules – yeah! We’ll put downloadable songs on to the page in the next few days! So keep on surfing by...

By the way we have some new shows confirmed. We’ll be performing in Konstanz in September and in Uster October! Check the show page for more details. We’re currently planning our release show, which should take place at the Galvanik in Traintown! But more about that later...

Sleep well! – The band.

20.04.2005 - Whoooha! That was great!
Hi everybody we are back from Sweden and had a fucking great time over there. By the way it was the first time that we took the plain in a band matter! Why we tell you that? It’s just cool, ha ha! We enjoyed five days at the great Fredman Studio and are stoked about it. Fredrik Nordström did the mixdown on our songs and it was a pleasure to work with him. We’re pretty happy how it all sounds so far! Now we’re looking forward to have the mastering done by Andy Balaskas in Germany.

Just before we left to Sweden we played at the Dance Of Days Fest in Will. It was just to cool! We almost played only new songs, which are actually unknown to the most people, but the feedback from the crowed was amazing. We love the Remise Stagedivers – they fucking know how to dive! We would like to thank Rouven for setting up the fest and his crew for making this event possible! You did great work again – thanx a lot dude!

So you liked our new merch? For those who could get there zippers or other stuff... check the merch page and place your order!

Mosh hard! – we’re out.

29.03.2005 - Sad news...
Our drummers dad died last Saturday. Therefore we decided to cancel the show in Erstfeld. We condole with the Hunziker family and wish Dinu, his Mom and the rest of the family all the best. Dinu will be back as soon as he feels it’s the time to.

Hope you guys understand our decision. We talked to the promoter and as we know our friends from BLOWN will fill the gap for us.

We keep you updated! Later...

03.03.2005 - Oberkirch fucking rules!
We had a incredibly cool show at the Casablanca in Oberkirch (Germany). We met tons of cool people and had a lot of fun with them. It was specially cool to meet our buddies from EMBERS again. They fucking rock! If you ever have the chance to check them life - don’t miss it! Shouts also to Lies Behind The Smile for opening and of course organising this great event. Hope to see you guys once around here in Switzerland!

The new merch is ordered and we’re looking forward to have it ready by the next show. That’s all for now from the dungeon league!

Keep moshing! - the band.

07.02.2005 - About Shows, Merch and Studio Fredman!
How's everybody doing out there? Hope you guys are doing great! We just got the mixdown dates at Studio Fredman confirmed. We will be in Sweden from April 11 to 15 to mix our upcoming record "By Blood Undone". Well, yes! Then it's done. Release date will be early summer 2005. Check by time the Let It Burn page for news about the release date!

We order new merch in the next days. We also will have the "The Dead Bury The Dead" design aviable again, even as zipper as it looks right now! Isn't that great? Make a rest at our merch table when you're around when we play in your area or check the merch page!

We have a couple of new shows confirmed like the legendary Dance Of Days or even a show in Erstfeld. Dude, Erstfeld!? How cool is that?! It's always a pleasure to show up at new places in Switzerland!

Let me just say thank you to the "End Station" crew who did an awesome job! It was a great evening for all of us and we wont forget the delisciouse meal they served! Thanx guys and till soon!

Out. - the dungeon.

10.01.2005 - Lets get it on!
Whooha everybody! Only three more days and you’ll get another great chance to dance with us. We are appearing at the Endstation club in Winterthur city. Get yourself a marker and note the following in your calendar:

15.01.2005 | Sat | Doors 21.00 | CH | Winterthur | Endstation Club

Despise will open up for you guys, so make sure to be there on time. After the show there will be an aftershowparty with DJ Sinister.

We’re still working on our upcoming fulllength. We are going to record the voice of Mosh the end of this month. We were not fully satisfied with the lyrics, so we decided to pull back the recordings a few weeks.

Our favorite designer Dave Quiggle is working out the cover artwork for By Blood Undone. The artwork should be done in the next few days and we’re sure it’s going to be hot. If you don’t know Dave you really should check out his page:
www.davequiggle.com!

We’re fixing the date for the mixdown at Studio Fredman these days. Yes, you heard right! We’ll fly over to Sweden to get our record mixed. As soon as we return with the master, you guys will be able to listen to the songs in our upcoming E-Card.

The guys at the Traintown Office are working on the By Blood Undone E-Card. As soon as our Master is done, you’ll be able to find the E-Card on our website. There will be songs to listen, lyrics to read and a lot of other interesting stuff to check out.

Well, another year of hard work is over. We took a lot time to work on our songs and were’nt on the road a lot. But hell yeah, it wasn’t an easy year at all. Anyway it’s over now. We wish all of you guys out there an awesome 2005 and hope to see you this year on the road!

mosh hard! - the band.

26.09.2004 - We're about to rock...
...the Merkker club in Baden this Friday. There will be a few cameras recording the show for promotional use. Put on your best t-shirt and show them some crazy moves, hell yeah! It's always nice to be in a city we've never been before. And we're sure Baden rocks.

Did we already tell you that we have new merchandise on stock? Ha! We've got t-shirts, girlies and brand new hooded sweaters in all sizes. You can order them now on the merchandise page or get them at our merchandise table.

We did some work in Como again. Our fulllength, which is called "By Blood Undone", is in progress and it will be some great stuff, kids!

Finally we want to thank the whole crew at the Böröm Pöm Pöm in Oberentfelden for the amazing festival. You know, it's actually a very special thing if a hardcore fest in Switzerland is sold out on both days. You did a great job! Shouts also go out to the bands we played with on Saturday. There were Darkpole, Dry Conditions, Trickshot, our buddies Fear My Thoughts, and of course the almighty Deadsoil - it was great to meet all of you guys!

Special congratulations to our friends in Be Against Everything who had their release party on Friday. We wish you a lot of success with your record and the band in the future!

rock on! - the band.

11.09.2004 - Kids! It's time to burn the stage...
Hell yeah! We finished our new material for the upcomming album and have been in the studio to record the drum tracks. Dinu did an awesome job down there in Como and we're pretty happy with the recordings so far. Our next record will be entitled "By Blood Undone" and there will be 11 songs on it.

We're going to do a little live prelistening of our brandnew songs at the "Burn The Stage" Fest. So if you're around - why don't you come over? We're kinda exited to play at the fest. As we heard the Böröm Club has a brand new PA System and Stage. So we can expect a great sound this weekend! But that's not actualy the special thing at the fest - it's much more the bands that show up! Lets see... 100 Deamons, Cataract, Fear My Thoughts and Deadsoil just to name a few - it's going to be crazy dude!

Since today you can find additional songs and movies to download at the download page. There are some songs from the "Know Your Enemy" and also from the "Let The Sin Begin" seven inch.

Go for it! the band.

25.08.2004 - Back after summer vacation?
Well then, here the news of the dungeon. All of us have been pretty busy with our jobs in the last few weeks. Monte had his exams and passed them of course without any problems! Congratulations dude!

Concerning the band - we're working hard on the new material. Right know we're also looking forward to get dates at the studios, but it's not that easy at the moment. We did a prerecording session in July and we tell you: the songs are hot! Right now we're focusing a release date somewhere in January or February next year. Of course again on Let It Burn Records.

Dave Quiggle has made a new shirt design for us. It's amazing. It will be available as T-Shirt, Girly-Shirt, Sweater and Hooded-Sweater. You can place a preorder on the merch page, if you want.

That's all for now. the band.

27.05.2004 - A broken leg - so what?
Well, it's a pitty but Attila broke his leg while he was dirt jumping last week. He had an operation and got some screws to keep the bones together. We know it sucks but he will have to play the show next saturday on a chair because he's not able to stand on his right foot. But hey, better 4.5 dungeoniers than 0 dungeoniers, aight? It's going to be funny for sure!

We kinda had some Website problems the past few days as you might have noticed. There is a enhanced merchandise site online, which shouldn't be online yet. Our webmaster is working on it to bug shoot the errors which might occour while you surf our site. Sorry for that!

keep it up and see you in Traintown! - the dungeon.
